Media personality Toke Makinwa has officially joined the league of celebrity mums, announcing the arrival of her first child, a baby girl, at the age of 40.
Sharing the joyful news on Instagram on Thursday, the OAP and lifestyle influencer described the experience as the happiest moment of her life, calling her daughter “my miracle” and a testament to God’s faithfulness.
“I’m a mommy. This is the happiest I’ve ever been. My precious daughter, the love I never knew existed, my heart in another human being,” she wrote.
Makinwa revealed her daughter’s full name as Yakira Eliana Olakitan Iyanuoluwa Ikeoluwa Adunola, each name bearing deep meaning of love, joy, and divine intervention.
Expressing gratitude, she added:
“I have seen the goodness of God in my lifetime. It ended in praise. My miracle is here. Thank you for choosing me, thank you for making me a mother. Every single detail, down to your fingers and toes, God heard my prayers.”
Earlier in the month, the 40-year-old unveiled her growing baby bump in a heartwarming post, describing pregnancy as the most significant chapter of her life.
Known for her candour on personal issues, Makinwa had in the past openly expressed her longing for motherhood and even considered surrogacy. Today, that dream has finally become reality.
